AUCTIONEERS’ REPORT The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op Distributing Coy., Ltd., report a yarding of 2300 sheep and 30 pigs at the Marton sale on .Tuesday, to a good at-, tendance of buyers. The entry comprised principally breeding ewes, with a fair sprinkling of lambs. The lamb market was firm and good. Ewes sold fairly well, but ewes with doubtful mouths were inclined to drag. However, vendors were prepared to meet the market and a total clearance was made as follows: Good 2-tooth ewes, to 29s 7d; others,. 24s 3d to 25s 3d; small, 17s 6d; best 5-year ewes, 16s 4d; good m.a. ewes, 17s 7d; good 6-year ewes, 1.3 s 7d; failing mouths but good condition, 10s to 10s 9d; fattening ewes, 6s Id to 7s lOd; best w.f. wether lambs, 15s Id; good medium ditto, 11s 6d to 13s 7d; fair ditto, 9s 9d tp 10s 4d; small ditto, 5s 6d; forward woolly b.f. lambs, 15s 7d; smaller ditto, 9s; small ewe lambs, 9s lOd; fat ewes, 12s Id; fat wethers, 245. Best weaner pigs, Ils to 14s; medium, 8s to 10s; small, 5s 6d to 7s. |
