NO PEACE-TIME NAVAL CENSORSHIP
U.S. GUARDING HER SECRETS Received Feb. 9, 8.40 p.m. NEW YORK, Feb. 8. Colonel Frank Knox, Secretary of the Navy, denied that the navy had established a peace-time censorship, when asked why no publicity was given to the movements of warships and reference to defence secrets. He explained that the aim was to keep defence information from potential enemies.
