TOTAL OF 334 YEARS
FOUR PATIENTS IN PUBLIC HOSPITAL EARLY LINKS WITH WANGANUI The ages of tour patients in one ward in the Wanganui Public Hospital total 334 years. They are Mr. Fred Parsons (92), Mr. Joseph Wallace (86), Mr. Gregor McGregor (84) and Mr. J. Dallas (72). Both Mr. McGregor and Mr. Wallace went to school in the Matarawa Valley more than 70 years ago. Both were born in the district. Mr. Parsons was born in England, but has resided in New Zealand more than 80 years. He is a former stationmaster at Timaru.
