MANGAWEKA SALE

A yarding of 2900 sheep came forward at the Mangaweka sale, comprising principally lambs with an odd pen of ewes and wethers. Prices were inclined to be somewhat easier at the commencement, but improved considerably as the sale progressed. A total clearance was made under the hammer as follows:—Forward woolly b.f. lambs. 15s 9d; shorn ditto, 12s sd; forward two-tooth wethers, 18s 9d to 19s 3d m.a. ewes, 14s 6d to 16s; best wether lambs, 13s 6d to 15s; good medium, 10s to 12s; smaller sorts, 7s 9d to 8s; tail-enders, 4s lOd to 6s 2d; medium ewe lambs, 14s 9d to 15s 9d; smaller sorts, to 13s Id; weaner pigs, 10s.
