Hillcoat has returned to Wanganui after visiting Taupiri as the guest of Mrs. R. Hillcoat. Miss Amy Graham, who has been spending a holiday at Wanganui, has returned to Waverley. * * * • Miss Audrey Waugh, Napier, is spending a holiday at Waverley as the guest of Mrs. G. Johnston. * * * Miss G. Mann, of Remuera, Auckland, is spending a holiday with relatives in Wanganui. **' * * Mrs. A. E. Sherwood, Wicksteed Street, has returned after a six weeks’ visit to Auckland and the Waikato. * * * • Mrs. R. Orton, St. John's Hill, went to Hawera during the week for a few days’ visit. » * * » Mrs. A. Bateman, Gonville Junction, accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. Sieber, and small grandson, has left for a holiday visit to Wellington. A visitor to Wanganui from Inglewood, who is at present staying at the Aramoho Motor Camp, is Mrs. W. J. Adnams. She is president of the Inglewood Women’s Institute, and a member of the Patriotic Executive. Mrs. B. J. Meads, Westmere, has returned home after several weeks spent with her daughter, Mrs. Cecil Rhodes, Karori. The latter accompanied her mother to Wanganui and is staying with her for a few days. - # * * Mrs. Whitelaw, Wellington, Mr. and Mrs. W. Jenkins, Ashhurst, Mr. and Mrs. J. Jenkins, Palmerston North, and Mrs. D. Evans, Masterton, are tne guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Taylor, Hatrick Street Extension, for the Thompson—Taylor ’ wedding, which takes place this evening. - - * Mr. and Mrs. S. Besley, Mr. and Mrs. A. Alexander, Mr. and Mrs. J. Walkinton, Mrs. K. Gibbons, and Miss Amy Graham, were Waverley visitors to Wanganui on Wednesday evening totend “The Gondoliers.’’

Miss Isabel MacKenzie, Hawera, has arrived in Wanganui to take up her new duties at the Wanganui Technical College, after being on the staff of the Southland Technical College for live years.
