MATAMATA TAXATION
Taxation paid by the Matamala Racing Club following its race meeting totalled £3066 15s 2d. Totalisator tax amounted to £1598 18s 6d; dividend duty, £1398 13s; stakes tax, £l7 Ils; and amusement tax, £5l 12s Bd. The totalisator turnover of £31,978 10s was the second best in the history of the club, the record being £33,526 10s, the aggregate at the postponed meeting held on April 2, 1938
