DEATHS OF FOUR AIRMEN
EVIDENCE AT INQUESTS LIMITED TO A MEDICAL WITNESS 1 Per r-.-ss Aesoelation. I BLENHEIM, Feb. 5. The inquest into two air crashes on January 21 in which four trainees at Woodburne Flying Training School were killed followed strictly formal lines. Victims of the accidents were: Leading Aircraftsman A. V. M. Gilmour, aged 22, Epsom. Auckland. Leading Aircraftsman G. W. Suisied. aged 23, Wellington, and formerly of Wanganui. Leading Aircraftsman W. I'. Reader, aged 2, Island Bay, Wellie* ton. Leading Aircraftsman R. A. Llewellyn, aged 21. Ruawai. Auckland. They were pilots and co-pilots of two Vickers Vincent bombers which cr.i.ihed in the hills between Blenheim and Seddon with :i three-quarters of an hour and about half a mile from each other in thick weather. Evidence given before the coroner was limited to the testimony of Dr. N. H. North, medical officer at Woodburne, who described the injuries of the victims and expressed the opinion that deaths were instantaneous. The coroner returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence.
