HUNTERVILLE NOTES

SPORTS CLUB MEETING. Last Saturday afternoon the sports meeting, organised by the Hunterville Sports Club, proved to be a very popular fixture. There was a good gathering of spectators, and the weather conditions were ideal from the point of view of competitors and onlookers alike. The entries were numerous in all classes, and some verygood horse jumping was witnessed. Competitors came in from all around the district—as far away as Wanganui and Turakina, and the Patriotic Funds should benefit very substantially from this effort of the Hunterville Sports Club officials. FLOWER SHOW. The flower show, in connection with the Presbyterian Church. Hunterville, will be held in the Town Hall, Hunterville, on Thursday next. Schedules are now available and entries are invited for all classes.
