PROSPECTS NOT BRIGHT

RANGITIKEI POTATO CROP DRY SPELL FAKES TOLL According to the annual report of the Rangitikei Potato Growers' Assoc wtion prospects for lite new season, from the crop point of view, are no' nearly so good as last year. "The extremely dry spell which has just ended has proved disastrous to the crops and reports from North Island districts would suggest that only half the yield of last year can be expected,” states the association's annual report. "The price, however, we hope, will be considerably improved. and this will compensate in some measure for the poorer yields.”
