FIGURES FOR JANUARY According to figures kept by Mr. E. J. Wilde, "Mirfield,” Marton, the rainfall for January was slightly above the average. Rain fell on ten days, making a total of 4.57 inches, against the average of 3.04 inches. The heaviest fall was recorded on January 22 when 1.67 inches fell. Details are —l2th .23, 15th .05, 20th .05, 21st .75, 22nd 1.67. 25th .17, 26th .05, 27th .62, 28th .15, 29th .35. The maximum temperature for the month was 86 degrees registered on January 5 and 21.
