B.B.C. NEWS MONOPOLY
FEARS EXPRESSED W ARNING TO THE PRESS. LONDON. Jan. 10. The Lord Provost of Glasgow, Mr. P. J. Dollan, in a speech, warned the newspapers to guard against the 8.8. C. becoming a huge monopoly for the circulation of news and opinions. The 8.8. C. staff had not had the same experience as newspapermen, and were showing a tendency toward cliquism. He hoped action by the journalists would prevent the 8.8. C. becoming a monopoly.
