BRITISH SUBMARINE LOST

THE DARING TRIAD EXPLOITS IN NORWAY RECALLED LONDON, Dec, 1. It is officially announced that the submarine Triad must be considered lost. Lieutenant-Commander Salt, who was in command of the Triad, also served in the Sea Lion. It will be recalled that on April 2 lhe Triad penetrated Oslo Fiord and torpedoed and sank a 4000-ton supply ship and torpedoed two others. She was a member of the Triton class of the 1935-38 programme and was aimed with one 4in. gun, two smaller guns and two 21in. torpedo tubes. Her displacement was 1090-1575 tons.
