FURTHER APPEALS HEARD The Wanganui Manpower Commit-1 tee was engaged all day yesterday in hearing appeals against Territorial service. Mr. J. J. Scott presided. There were also present Messrs. F. W. Clinton, bakers’ apprentice, appeal by employer; dismissed conditional not being called before April 30. 1941. P. G. Corliss, farm manager, appeal by employer; adjourned sine die. W. G. Eyre, rigger on the Port Bowen, appeal by employer; adjourned till March 14, 1941. C. Gray, shearer, and solo slaughterman; adjourned till January 31. 1941 S. M. Greene, dairy farmer, personal appeal: adjourned sine die. A. Griffith, drover, appeal by employer; dismissed conditional on not being called b n fore March 31. 1941. H. K. Hayes, personal appeal; dismissed for want of prosecution. W. J. Jeffries, secondary school teacher, appeal by Wanganui Education Board; dismissed conditional on not being called before March 31. 1941. R. E. Jenkins, restaurant assistant appeal self and mother, both on the grounds of undue hardship; dismissed conditional on not being called before March 31. 1941. J. N.
