LIVESTOCK MARKET
THE MARTON SALE The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report a yarding of 1200 sheep, 50 dairy cattle, 60 pigs, 3 draughts and a large quantity of sundries at the above sale on Tuesday. There was an excellent attendance from Taihape, Taranaki, Feilding and Wanganui, and local buyer; were also operating freely. The special entry of breeding ewes on account of Mr. A. H. Meyer attracted a considerable number of buyers, and as anticipated, the competition on the breeding ewes was very keen, the bulk of the yardin; was secured by outside purchasers and prices generally showed a marked advance on our previous sales.
