R.’serve Areas for Cropping. Recently the Wanganui City Council decided to offer the use of certain city reserves for the production of crops for pig food. The Department of Agriculture has received the offer, has thanked the council and has referred the matter to the National Council for Primary Production. Panel with City Crest. Donations of a glass panel incorporating the city’s coat of arms has been made to the Wanganui Citv Council by the Wanganui Glass Company for use the winter gardens Virginia Lake. At a meeting of the council last night aprpeciation of the gift was made by the Mayor, Hon. W. J. Rogers, M.L.C., and the council placed on record an expression of thanks.
