CONVERSION OF CARS
BORSTAL TERM IMPOSED On charges of conversion of three motor-cars to his own use, theft of motor keys, and theft of a bicycle valued at £l9 12s 6d, the property of Chainey Bros., Edgar James Hylton appeared on remand in the Wanganui Magistrate’s Court yesterday and was ordered to be detained in a Borstal institution for two years. Edward Wilson, who was associated with Hylton in the conversion of a car and theft of keys, and who was also charged with theft of petrol, was admitted to probation for 18 months. Mr. C. H. Clinkard appeared for Wilson. Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., presided. Sergeant V. J. Cosgrave appeared for the police.
