LABOUR MOVEMENT IN QUEENSLAND OPPOSED TO COMMUNISM I L'er Press Association.J AUCKLAND, April 12. The Premier ol Queensland, Mr. VV. Forgan Smith, who was in Auckland recently and sailed by the Monterey for Honolulu, returned by the Mariposa from Pago Pago to-day and expects to leave Wellington by steamer for Sydney at the firsi opportunity. “Apart from the Communists, the Labour movement in Queensland is completely united,” he said. “There has never been any serious difficulty m the State of any kind, but we have the same experience with Communists as other countries The.\ are the same the world over. The Australian Labour Party is definitely opposed to Communism and every member of the party has to sign an anti-Communist pledge. Whenever a Communist has run for a seat in Parliament he has lost his deposit.”
