FREIGHTER A TOTAL LOSS
STRIDES TASMANIAN REEF Received April 12 5.5 p.f. HOBART, April 12. The freighter Wannon. 567 tons, struck a reef in Ulverstone harbour last night and is believed to be a total loss. Details are not known. RIVER ENTRANCE BLOCKED Received April 12. 11.15 p.m. HOBART, April 12. The freighter Wannon Ls now stranded on a san«-bar, completely blocking the entrance to the River Leven. The vessel, which is three* parts submerged, was formerly owned in New Zealand.
