RUGBY LEAGUE FOOTBALLER IN HOSPITAL MAORI GIRL ALSO FALLS FROM LORRY [ Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, March 23. Cyril Blacklaws, a Rugby League footballer, who returned to New Zea land six months ago after playing club looiball in England, is in the Auckland Hospital in a serious condition. While working on a farm near Puni he broke a small bone in his wrist. A lorry was conveying him to a doctor at Pukekohe and when the driver stopped in Attwell’s Road to allow some Maori women to alight, Blacklaws fell to the roadway suffering concussion and head injuries. A Maori girl, Waiata Graham, 20, of Hawera, also feli and was taken to hospital. Her condition is fair.
