FINE WEATHER FOR OTAGO’S PROGRAMME

[ Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, March 24. The many sporting and other events set down for the Easter period so far have been favoured with glorious weather. Among the more important events in progress are the Otago tennis championships, South Island and Otago golf championships, Dunedin Bowling Centre’s annual tournament, and the Otago Rifle Association’s prize tiring meeting. Several sports and racing meetings in or within easy distance of the city have also been held or will be held to-morrow. Of considerable interest on Saturday were, functions held in connection with the 92nd. anniversary of the settlement of the province.
