ALBERTA ELECTIONS

LONDON, March 22. Reports from Alberta indicate that the Social CredaY Party has retained control of the provincial Legislature. It has secured 21 of the 57 seats, and is leading in 18 others. ISSUE DEPENDS ON PREFERENCES. Received March 24, 6.30 p.m. EDMONTON, March 22. Mr. Aberhart and the members of the Government are likely winners, but the issue depends on preferences in 19 out of a total of 57 seats. At present 15 Social Credit candidates and 8 Independents have been elected. Twenty Social Credit and 10 Independents are leading in second counls.
