WANGANUI SECOND GRADE CRICKET
FIRST CENTURY OF SEASON THREE LEADING TEAMS VERY CLOSE A fine knock of 107 not out was made by R. Stewart, of the Marist Club, during last Saturday”s play in the Wanganui second grade competition, . this being the first century scored in junior cricket this season. The competition is now in a most interesting stage, four points only separating the first three teams. Marist had an easy win over a very weak Wanganui team and Aramoho obtained a substantial first innings lead over the Garrison Band. The following is a summary of the games: United 128 beat Technical Old Boys 77. Aramoho 157 beat Band 51. Marist, one for 140 declared, beat Wanganui, 33 and 78.
