BIBLE-CLASS CONVENTION OAMARU METHODISTS ON THE WAR [ I'cr Ficss Association.J OAMARU, Jan. 18. she quarterly meeting of the Oamaru Methodist Circuit carried tjic following resolution unanimously:— “That this meeting regrets the attitude taken by the Young Men’s Bible Class Convention held in Wellington. Every effort was made to avert war, but now that the nation has been forced to defend itself it behoves us all to fight for the freedom for which the Chrhtian Church stands.”
