Mr. W. J. Rogers, Mayor of Wanganui, will attend the centennial celebrations in Petone on Monday, Anniversary Day. Mr. J. Sullivan, an inspector attached to the staff of the General Post Office. Wellington, whose headquarters were at Palmerston North, i has retired after 40 years’ service. Dr O. Frankel, geneticist at the Wheat Research Institute, Canterbury, has returned south, after in- i specting wheat crops in the Manawatu and the Rangitikei districts, ana conferring with officers of the Plant Research Bureau.
