TREMENDOUS SCHEME
EMPIRE AIR TRAINING NEW ZEALAND DELEGATES RETURN I Per Press Association ] AUCKLAND, Dec. 22. Greatly impressed with the magnitude of the Empire air-training scheme being inaugurated in Canada. Wing-Commander W. H. Saunders, Chief of the New Zealand Air Staff, and Mr. T. Barrow, Secretary of the New Zealand Air Department, returned by the Mariposa after representing the Dominion at the air conference in Ottawa. While declining lo comment on any decisions made or the cost of the scheme tn Britain and the Dominions concerned, they said the conversations that had taken place enabled the delegates to more readily appreciate the difficulties that the Mother Country and the Dominions had to face in respect of training. Canada's willingness to help and the attitude of the Canadian people toward the scheme were the subject of enthusiastic comment by all representatives at the conference.
