Rogers, to the City Council last night. 1 His Worship referred to recent publ! licity with regard to the inadequacy of Wanganui’s representation, and L 'said that while it probably would do . jgood in the long run he did not want ii to allow it to damage the city. The > council would be happy to know now ’that the Wanganui court would be i \ greatly improved. Mr. Rogers paid tribute to the zeal:ous manner in which Mr. F. H. Bethwaite, who until recently was presii dent of the Chamber of Commerce, ■ had watched Wanganui’s interests in regard to the Exhibition.
