TAIHAPE SWIMMING CLUB

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The executive committee of the Taihape Amateur Swimming Club met on Tuesday evening when there were present Messrs. D. Woodhead (chair), E. Mercer, H. Bowater, W. King, R. Hesketh, B. Niven, R. Smith and the secretary (Mr. F. Ball). The meeting decided that the club should take part in the Centennial parade to be held on Show Day (February 22). It is hoped to start club nights on Friday of this week when an effort will be made to stage some relay races. Carnival officers were appointed. If the weather is favourable it is hoped to hold a carnival in January.
