CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES

“God The Only Cause and Creator” was the subject of the lesson-sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, December 3. The golden text was Psa. 33:2, 9 “Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.” Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon were the following from the Bible, “The Lord hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare it in Zion the work of the Lord our God. He hath made the earth by his power, he hath stretched out the heavens by his understanding. Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, “The

creative Principle —Life, Truth, and Love—is God. The universe reectse reflects God. There is but one creator and one creation. This creation consists of the unfolding of spiritual ideas and their identities, which are embraced in the infinite Mind and forever reflected. These ideas range from the infinitesimal to infinity, and the highest ideas are the sons and daughters of God.” (p. 502).
