TAIHAPE, July 17. 3 he annual meeting of shareholders of the Taihape Dairy Company decided on Saturday to donate the sum of Is per shareholder to lhe Blind Institute. U AN.GANT I HEALTH ( AMP Four children from Taihape, com- | prising three boys and one girl, and |two children from Ohingaiti are being (admitted to the health camp at Wanganui for a period of six weeks. Taihape is entitled to send six children tn the camp every admission, which takes place every six weeks. Fund-, to support the camp are raised by selling health stamps and those who support the annual appeal can rest assured that, deserving cases from Taihape receive the benefit of the health camp. INCIPIENT FIRE The Taihape Fire Brigade received a call to an incipient fire at the residence of Mrs. B. Healey in Robin Street yesterday morning. The outbreak originated in the cupboard containing the hot water cistern and was kept in check by members of the household until the brigade arrived and extinguished the blaze with th*" aid of two chemical extinguishers. Another fire alarm sounded about 3 o’clock this morning, caused by an electrical fault in some wires.
