A wrestling contest at the Town Hail on Saturday night between “Lofty” Blomfleld, of Auckland (16.8) and “King Kong” Cox, of America (17.0) ended in a win for the latter. Blomfield being disqualified in the seventh round for punching. Prior to that each man had obtained a fall. Cox led the way with a fall in the second round with a body press following a succession of forearm jolts in the region of the kidneys. Wild exchanges and showmanship marked the wrestling bout on Saturday night before Rollend Kirchmeyer incapacitated Frank Forster in the sixth round. Forster remained for half the fifth round in Kirchmeyer’s python clutch and was unable to stand in the sixth. He had gained a fall in the fourth with a flying body scissors and press after a series of rabbit-killers. The wrestlers Paul Boesch and Paul Pones drew in an interesting bout before a large attendance on Saturday evening. Jones’ tactics excited both laughter and resentment among the onlookers, while Boesch showed elusiveness and versatility. Jones got a fall with a hook figure four body scissors in the fifth round. Boesch equalised in the eighth round after drop-kicks with a double ]eg-hold. BOESCH FOR WANGANUI CONTEST ARRANGED WITH “DAZZLER” CLARK TWO SPECTACULAR .MATMEN The most welcome news in wrestling circles for some time is that the Wanganui Wrestling Association has succeeded in their endeavours to have the popular and spectacular Paul Boesch matched in this city. He is to meet. “Dazzler” Clark at the Opera House on Wednesday night. These two men should provide a thrilling contest for there is nothing much between them. On lhe first occasion when they met Clark proved the victor, but in the second meeting Boesch evened matters with his spectacular drop-kicks. Both will be full out to win at their third mec . and there is little doubt, that a capacity “ho'use" will be present to witness the clash.
