WEDDING AT UTIKU

JENNINGS—DELLOW The Presbyterian Church, Utiku, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday, June 17, when Ngaire Elizabeth, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Dellow, was married to Mr. James Jennings, only son of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Jennings, of Brisbane, Australia. The Rev. E. T. King was the officiating minister, and Miss Scott presided at tne organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a navy sheer ottoman frock trimmed with gold sequins, peach bloom hat with ostrich plume, gloves and shoes to match. She wore a skunk fur necklet, the gilt of the bridegroom. A lovely bouquet of chrysanthemums, freesias and abutilons in lemon shades completed a charming toilet. As the bride was leaving the cnurch she was presented with a silver horseshoe by her little niece, ivlerren Dellow.

The bridesmaid, Miss Wirinie Dellow, sister of the bride,,wore a frock of magic hour green with gold trimmings, green fur felt hat with veil and ostrich plume. She carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted chrysanthemums. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Ray Deiiow, brother of the bride. A reception was held al the home of the bride's parents. The guests were received by Mr. and Mrs. Dellow, the later wearing a prunella cherron de chine frock relieved ’with silver, smart velour hat, and fur stole, and carried a bouquet to tone or chrysanthemums, . winter roses and maidenhair fern. I Miss Jean Dellow, sister of the bride, wore a vieux rose silk [jerycylaine frock, trimmed with velvet, I and snoulder spray to lone. I After the usual toasts were honoured the bride cut a two-tier cake made by her mother and iced by the bridesmaid. Congratulatory telegrams were received from both North and South Island and a cablegram from Australia. The happy couple left later, the bride wearing a smart clover irock with velvet trimmings. Mr. and Mrs. Jennings' future honje will be m Hawcra.
