SCRAP METAL EMBARGO
EXPORT OF TIN CLIPPINGS HILL BE C ONSIDERED [ Per Press As-'dation J AUCKLAND, June 20. Modification of an embargo on the export of scrap metal from New Zealand has been notified by the Comptroller of Customs to several Auckland merchants who were previously interested in the trade. They have been informed that the Government is now prepared to give favourable consideration to applications for permission to export specified quantities of tin clippings. which have been sold to a Sydney firm.
