SOFTGOODS ORDERS
FACTORIES TOO BUSY WELLINGTON, June 20. On business bent in Hamilton last week some travellers, representing three Dominion manufacturing warehouses, had their missions cut short by advice from their headquarters that they were to pack up their samples of softgoods lines and take no orders. Appointments made with Hamilton business firms had to be cancelled.
From his head office in Wellington one of the travellers was told that it was impossible for the factory to supply the orders that had been received from some other districts. The factory was working at full pressure in an effort to fulfil the orders already o n hand, and the traveller was told to return to Wellington immediately without attempting to write up any business. Similar advice was received bv the other two travellers.
