BRITISH EXPENDITURE ON IY ARPLANE PRODUCTION Received June 21 1.15 a.m. LONDON, June 20. The Air Minister, Sir Kingsley 'Wood, speaking at Handley Page's anniversary, declared that Britain was spending £2,000,000 weekly on warplane production. “I am glad to [think that the officers and men of the [Royal Air Force deserve and are o'otaining the very best aircraft we can give them,” he said.
