"AVOID THE WAR COMPLEX"
MR. MENZIES’ APPEAL TO BUSINESSMEN Receive ' June 21. 11.20 p.m. MELBOURNE, June 20. Addressing the Chamber of Commerce, the Prime Minister, Hon. R. iG. Menzies, appealed to businessmen to avoid the war complex. He added: “Rumours of war come every now and then, but I must say I am astounded to note how' susceptible to the jitters arc many businessmen. Things may be somewhat grim in Europe, but there are many more millions on the side of peace than on the side of war, and there are still many factors which point in the (direction of peace.”
