HITHER AND THITHER
Special Apron Week. M. McKinnon has ladies’ worked aprons at 2/11, 4/11 to 10/6: traced, 1/3; traced and appliqued, 2/6 and 2/11. Dainty peasant aprons, worked, 4/11. Shirley Temple aprons, worked, 3/6. Moana Croquet Club. An enjoyable progressive “500" evening on behalf of the Moana Croquet Club, was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bamford, Fromont Street, on Thursday evening last, there being ten tables in play. The ladies’ prize was won by Mrs. Hammond, and the gentlemen’s prize by Mr. Dempster. The ladies’ consolation prize went to Mrs. Goodyer, and the gentlemen’s consolation to Mr. Gilmour. Those present included: Mr. and Mrs. Snelling, Mr. and Mrs. Sharland, Mr. and Mrs. Webby, Mr. and Mrs. Byres, Mr. and Mrs. Shaw, Mr. and Mrs. Rush, Mr. and Mrs. Kimber, Mr. and Mrs. Raine, Mr. and Mrs. Dempster, Mr. and Mrs. Gilmour; Mesdames Arnold, Carter, Hall, Rait, Stowers, Turner, McKay, Cowie, Hammond, Goodyer, Holmes, Harrison, Beard; Misses Sharland, Harrison, McKay; Messrs. Wight and Oliver.
