WOMEN’S DIVISION
KOEKE JI MOK BKAM H. GRAND DANCE. Decorated with autumn leaves, red berries and red and gold chrysanthemums the Papanui Hall presented quite a gay scene for the junior branch ol the W.D.F.U.'s grand dance on Saturday night. A large crowd, from surrounding districts was present and an enjoyable time was spent by all. The music was supplied by Messrs. McDonald and Pepps’ pianoaccordion orchestra. Novelty dances proved very popular. Messis. 1.. RPrice and Garlick were very efficient M.C.'s. A very enjoyable supper was served by the juniors. Many thanks are due to the seniors lor their assistance in supplying the supper. Among those present were: - Mesdames Frew (Ohakunei, Phelps (Hunterville), Ross, Mair, Martin, Wilson, Cooksley. Revell, Misses Edge (Hunterville), D. Davis (Ohakunei, L. Scott, Black, Davis (2), McQuinn (3), Boyle (Auckland), F. McGuinn, McDonald, Revell, Cooksley, Hedberg, Howie. Messrs. Wilson. Garlick, McConnel, Harris (3. Mair, Revell (4), Martin, Newton, Fetzer, Frew, Garmonsway (Ohakunei, Douglas, Davis (21, Ross, McQuinn (21. Hunter, Cooksley, Strange, Brenchley, Price (2, and others. The result of a guessing competition was won by Mrs. Revell. : The dance continued till a late hour.
