BURGLARS AT AUCKLAND

DARING THEFT FROM CHY RESIDENCE [Pei Press Association. 1 AUCKLAND, May 17. Burglars broken into a theatre garage and land agency office at Mount Albert early this morning and stole sums which totalled about £9. A more daring theft was committed between 8.30 a.m. and mid-day when a thief entered a house in Pitt. Street, city, ransacked the premises and stole £4 from one room and an engagement ring from the possessions of a young woman who had the ring in keeping for her sister.
