ANNEAL TRIA Us ' Oun Correspondent >. OHINGAITI, May 16. The annual fixture of the above club, held on the club’s grounds on the estate of A. E. Russell on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 8, 9 and 10, proved as successful as in the past, the success for which is mainly due to the capability and efficiency of the club’s officials in controlling the v**rious event, and to me fact that the weather remained fine throughout the three days’ trials, this being in great contrast to previous years wnen inclement weather tended to mar the entertainment. Record entries were received in all classes and some line exhibitions were witnessea The growing popularity of entertainment of this nature from a spectator s point of view was evident by the record attendance throughout the trials, there being an exceptionally large gathering on Wednesday in particular. Good, light luncheon was provided at the ciuo’s booth and was greatly appreciated. the sheep weight-guessing resulted in a tie, Mr. G. McL.ean (Mangaonoho) and Mr. Jenkins (Peep-o-Day) both guessing the correct weight of •J9ibs. The judge of the trials, Mr. G.
