MAIN HIGHWAY WORK

MOKOIA SECTION SEALED START ON BOYLAN ROAD. Nothing more is to be fione this season on the Hawera-Mokoia section of the Hawera-Wanganui State highway, part of which was closed for sealing, according to Mr. F. W. Lindup, Public Works Department engineer for the central district. The highway is now open for traffic. Clearing work remains to be done on the part that has been sealed. On Monday the Boylan Road section of the New Plymouth-Hawera State highway was closed for traffic and it will not be opened until the end of this week. Sealing work was commenced and the work will be continued for some days. Traffic using the highway will have to detour via Mountain Road until the sealing work is completed.
