THE ROYAL LINER May Reach Quebec On Wednesday j SLOW PROGRESS THROUGH FOG AND ICE (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) QUEBEC, May 14. It is officially announced that the Empress of Australia at 0 a.m. (E.S.T.) was still 1080 miles east of Quebec and had again been halted by fog after proceeding slowly through the field of ice. Officials believe it will be impossible for the liner to arrive before Wednesday, even if the weather improves immediately. They said that no new alterations would be made to the programme for the reception of Their Majesties until the time of their arrival was a certainty. Earlier reports received in Quebec stated that the Empress of Australia was held by fog and ice approximately 250 miles east of Cape Race and would not arrive before Wednesday.
