MOTORISED SQUADRON IN ACTION “BATTLE’’ NEAR WHAN’GAREI [ Per Press Association ] WHANGAREI, May 15. The biggest mounted military camp held in the Northland was augmented by the arrival of a motorised squadron consisting of 28 cars and lorries, 40 motor-cycles, two Bren carriers, 500 mounted men and the motorised squadron set out on a 15-mlle night trek to the Titoki district, where a battle was begun at daybreak.
