CASTLECLIFF CLUB SATURDAY'S FLAG MATCH. The flag match played by the Castlecliff Golf Club on Saturday proved very popular and fourteen players with strokes in hand had chances to take the flag on to the 19th or 20th fairways. The senior flag was first taken down the 19th fairway by L. R. Simpson. Then F. J. Currie and C. L. Bristol took the flag a bit further on and finally McFarlane placed his last shot well up the 20th fairway and won his section. The junior flag was carried by T. H. McWilliam down the 19th and R. J. Harrison went a little further. G. Olson followed, and C. S. Ryan went on dawn the 20th. Finally C. G. Johnston carried on to near the green of the 20th to win. Results:— Medal Match.

WANGANUI CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY FIRST ROUND RESULTS Play in the qualifying round ol the club championship, opened at the Wanganui Golf Club in perfect weather after the long spell, of dry weather, the recent rains have improved the course which was lellccted in the very good scores returned. F. Searle leads the field in the Captain's Prize with the excellent score of 61 net. B. M.
