BREN GUN COURSE TAIHAPE TERRITORIALS QUALIFY (Own Correspondent.) TAIHAPE. April 26. Lieut. A. H. Revell and L/Cpl. J. Hayman, of the 6 th Manawatu Mounted Rifles, and Sergt. B. Seccombe and L/Cpl. R. Hall, of the Wellington West Coast Regiment, returned on Saturday from Trentham,

where they spent a week on a Bren gun course, the first course of its kind held for New Zealand territorials. There were 32 in for the course, which was held at the School of Instruction, Central District. All four from Taihape qualified. The candidates were fortunate in having an opportunity of a preliminary run in the new Bren gu<n carriers. It. is not probable that the Bron gun will be issued to the various stations for several months as yet, but those who qualified in the School of Instruction will find their knowledge of advantage when the issue is made.
