RANGIWAHIA NOTES

FOOTBALL CLUB ANNUAL MEETING Mr. J. Watt presided over a particularly large attendance at the annual meeting of the Rangiwahia Football Club. Prior to the commencement of the business of the meeting members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the late Mr. F. H. Thompson, a former player, vice-president, coach, and manager. The president, in his report, congratulated the club on lhe past season’s activities. The seniors had had a successful season and he commended the- juniors upon having fulfilled all their obligations in the face of difficulties. The balance-sheet presented showed the cluh to be in a good financial position mainly owirfg to the members’ subscriptions being well paid up. The following officers were elected for the forthcoming season: Patron, Mr. J. Collie; president, Mr. J. Watt; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. S. Marshall, D. T. Couper, N. F. Saywell. I. E. Jewell, T. M. C. Smith, H. G. Fankhouser, A. Mills, T. McClenaghan; delegates to Oroua Sub-union, Messrs. N. Amadio, and N. M. Martin; secretary and treasurer, N. M. Martin; as-sistant-secretary, Mr. B. Harris. Votes of thanks were accorded to Messrs. R. Deroles and H. G. Fankhauser who had served the club well for so many years as delegates to the union. In presenting the annual report and balance-sheet, the chairman outlined the club's operations during the past year and made special mention of the great assistance and interest tendered by the district supervisor, Mr. E.
