STOCK ROUTE

Sir. I think it is high time thnl our City Councillors woke up to the fact that the stock route from Jacksan's yards to the Imlay works wa.opened up. It is a shocking state of affairs the way stock is driven past the hospital an. a lot of it invariably rushes into the hospital grounds and causes the drovers a lot of trouble and they also do a certain amount of damage. Only recently n mob of bullocks took charge of the hospital grounds and caused a lot of trouble to the drovers, and there is ■no telling when one will go mad and charge everything in sight, and do irreparable damage. As your readers will remember, one took charge of a hotel in Turakina some time back and did some damage. So who is to say one will not do the same at the hospital.—l am. etc.. "WANGANUI DROVES."
