WASHDYKE MEETING PROSPECTS FOR TO-DAY The South Canterbury Jockey Club w ill hold its autumn meeting at Washdyke to-day and on Saturuay. Larg. fields are engaged, being drawn from a wide area, as a strong contingent from Riccarton stable win be opposed by representatives from training centres as far away as Southland. Betting will be on the win-and-place system. The following may be supported in their engagements: — Otaio Hurdles —Jewish Lad, Dracula. Electric Stakes. —Blue Coat, Benevolent, Asset. Washdyke Trot Handicap.—Credit Balance, Erin's Lad, Scenic Gem. Timaru Cup.—Settlement, The Sandwich Man, Dictate. Tycho Hack Handicap.—Wardress, Flagman, Rex Maitland. Kerrytown Hack Handicap.—Auctor, Gironde, Master Dingle. Hadlow Trot Handicap.—Stormtost, Equerry, Ochiltree. Flying Handicap.—Njghtcalm, Density, Lady Leigh.
