RANITIKEI RUGBY UNION

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE The Management Committee of the Rangitikei Kugby Union met last night at Marton, Mr. K. C. S. McKenzie presiding over Messrs. C. Price, L. Bull, K. Seoul, A. Hutton, J. Hartley, A. Henwood, J. Rawhiti and K. A. Williams. Mr. K. A. Williams was appointed treasurer and secretary. The following sub-committees were appointed: Finance and benevolent fund, the president, and Messes L. Bull and C. Price; fixtures, the president and Messrs. L. Bull and K. A. Williams; classification, Messrs. J. Bush, K. Lynch and J. Hartley; postponement. committee, the president and the secretary. An application was received from the Ohingaiti Club to enter a team in the junior competition, and this was agreed to. All affiliated clubs, with the exception of Old Boys, were authorised io purchase first aid outfits to the value of 12s 6d. Complimentary passes are to oe issued to three coaches of each club, referees’ wives and the Press. Mr. G. W. Coleman (Hunterviller wrote declining to act as junior selector. His letter was accepted with regret. The Flock House Club was granted the privilege of waiving the registration of players on account Of the frequent changes in the personnel of the team. The question of stretchers was referred to the affiliated clubs, with the right to purchase their own. After the chairman had given an account of the business transacted at the last meeting of the Wanganui Rugby Union, it was decided to iioia a Rangitikei competition, as in the past, for the local clubs, there being four teams in the senior, and six in the junior grades. The question of installing a telephone for the secretary of the Referees' Association was referred to Mr. A. Hutton and the secretary, with power to act. It was decided to start the senior competition on Saturday, April 22, and the junior grade competitions on Sat- : urday, April 29. The following are the fixtures for the senior competition for the first round: — . _ Saturday, April 22.—01 d Boys v. Hunterville, at Hunterville, referee, Mr. N. Cairncross; Bulls v. Halcombe, at Bulls; Mr. H. Holland. Saturday, April 29. —Old Boys V. Bulls, at Marton; Halocmbe v. Hunterville, at Halcombe. Saturday, May 6.—Bulls v. Hunterville, at Hunterville; Old Boys v. Halcombe, at Marton.
