Mrs. ■ Mac Cart ney heard loud screams from the victim and rushed outside to find I him hanging from the wires by hands ■ and unable to free himself. With great presence of mind she rushed. into the house and turned off the i electric supply at the meter. This! reduced the c harge and enabled Me-• Cart.ney to release h s grip but so i severely burned and shocked that he fell head downwards about 12 feet tOi the concrete paving below. A doctor was summoned and the' victim rushed to the Napier Hospital,] where his condition is reported as j serious.
