“NO SAFER PLACE FOR HONEY”
!HON. A. HAMILTON ON POSI OFFICE SAVINGS BANK GOVERNMENT’S METHOD OF CUTTING INCOMES t Ter Press ?.’-o/-ia»inn.J PALMERSTON N., March 7. “I am frequently asked by peoph whether their money in the Pos Office Savings Bank is safe.” said the Hon. Adam Hamilton, Leader o£ tht Opposition, in the course of an inter view. “My answer is definitely yes I do not know any safer place foi money, but what. I do want to poini out is that people must be just, at concerned with the value of thei. money as with its safety. “For instance, a person may hav £ saved £750 to buy a house. He may have put the money in the Post Office Bank. Now. however, as a result o the Labour administration and policy he finds that £750, which would have built the required house a few year: ago, won’t, do the job now. Inst.eac £lOOO is required. That is a type o movement that must be halted. It. h not a difficult thing to understand hut it is a vital one. In short, it i an indirect method of making a cut on the income of a large section oi good citizens.”
